I have always been a little skeptical when it comes to facial tools. Asking myself so many questions ending up talking myself out of purchasing any for years. I first started with a jade roller, wasn't totally impressed but did see improvement under eyes. After a few months of using the jade roller I came across Wildling Beauty Gua Sha Stone. Interested in learning more about facial gua sha, I ended up spending over two days doing nothing but reading about what gua sha is, how it is beneficial and why quality matters when purchasing the tool. Knowing how beneficial facial gua sha is I decided to share with you everything you will need to make an informed decision. Before jumping into my review let discuss what the practice of gua sha is as well as the benefits when using daily.

What Is Facial Gua Sha?

Facial gua sha is a gentle self-massage that uses a stone (Gua Sha) to help improve the complexion as well as detoxify the body. Detoxifying is due to the movement of the lymph system allowing them to move and get ride of the toxins. Our lymphatic system does not move on it's own, making it that important to massage the entire body. The practice of gua sha involves slow, steady strokes that, both immediately and over time, can create the appearance of lift, tone, clarity, and brightness in the face.

Benefits of Facial Gua Sha?

Most studies that have been done for the benefits of gua sha have focused on body gua sha. If you googled gua sha you might have seen the bruised pictures, just know that your face will not become bruised as the pressure should be light and slow. Moving and massaging the face using a stone supports increased blood circulation. You should notice redness after your practice, keep in mind that that is good and wont last very long! With the increased blood circulation your collage production begins to increase leaving your skin plump and lifted. Practicing gua sha daily keeps the lymph system moving not allowing fluid building up and becoming stagnate. The stagnate fluid can result in blackheads, acne, wrinkles and puffiness. After about 2 weeks after continuous use your face will begin to look less puffy, tighter and less acne! Few Tips!

  • Have clean skin and hands.
  • Use at end of skin care routine after your moisturizer.
  • Never practice on dry skin. Using a oil will allow the tool to slide on skin nicely not causing any pulling or tugging.
  • If your have active acne breakouts, do not practice on your face as to not spread bacteria. DO practice just the neck area so that you can still get the lymph system moving.
  • It takes time to feel comfortable doing it.
  • You totally got this!!
  • Always drink a glass of water after practicing to flush the toxins from the body.
  • Breath, Relax and go low, it's a great stress reliever.

My Review:)

I purchased the Empress Stone Facial Gua Sha Tool from Wildling beauty with not a clue how to do it. After a long 4 days waiting the stone arrived and I was excited to learn. Thankfully Wildling beauty has so many great how to videos, after a few weeks I was able to enjoy the practice with my eyes closed! Making it so much more relaxing:) In the beginning I was only using the tool twice sometimes three times a week. I was able to see less deep wrinkles and less puffy under eyes but not much else. Not giving up, I decided to see how my face would look if I did it everyday for 14 days. Let me tell you that within 14 days my face was noticeably less puffy, acne along my neck was diminishing, my skin was tighter and more healthy looking. This has become a part of my everyday routine and can say that I look better in my 30's than my 20's! I highly recommend this tool and give it 5 stars.
